<p>Wooden objects are fed as filling layers on a conveyor belt into a cross-polishing machine and under one or more sets or units of brushes or polishing drums arranged one in front of the other. Two or more polishing drums can be used spaced apart, and are of the lamella type orientated with their rotation axis in the conveyor belt longitudinal direction. - The drums can be moved from one outer edge of the object to the other outer edge and back again. When a drum is at a short distance from an outer position, the polishing effect is reduced, preferably with the drums lifted away from the object for a short time, until the movement direction is changed, after which the drum is lowered again to a work position.</p> |
