PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently determining the conditions of operating a machine tool to meet the specifications when newly set for machining results. SOLUTION: Actual measurement data are collected for operation parameters showing the conditions of operating a machine to be measured and evaluation parameters showing machining results in the operating conditions. A mathematical characteristic model using the operation parameters as input data and the evaluation parameters as output data is made. When new specifications are set for the machining results, the operation parameters to meet the specifications are found by inverse operation using the characteristic mode. The found operation parameters are used for trial machining. Whether actual measurement values for the evaluation parameters are satisfied with the specifications or not is verified. If not satisfied, the actual measurement values obtained by the trial machining are added thereto to renew the characteristic model. The above steps are repeated to find values for the operation parameters for realizing the specifications. |
