PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain instantaneous power at a constant value and restrain torque ripples, when the induced voltage waveform of a single phase winding is distorted from a rectangular wave due to the influence of armature reaction. SOLUTION: Inverter equipment, which drives an AC motor 1 provided with a plurality of single phase windings as a multiphase windings forming a rotating magnetic field, is equipped with a plurality of inverters 3-1 to 3-8 which supply AC currents to the plurality of single-phase windings by PWM control, generate a rotating magnetic field and drive the AC motor 1, current command determining means (4-1 to 4-8) which are installed corresponding to respective inverters 3-1 to 3-8, and give current commands individually to the corresponding inverters 3-1 to 3-8, and a voltage detecting means 25 detecting the voltages of the single- phase windings of the AC motor 1. The current command determining means consist of current command operating means (31, 32) calculate the current commands of the corresponding inverters 3-1 to 3-8, based on the current reference and voltage reference which are common to the respective inverters 3-1 to 3-8 and the voltages detected by the voltage detecting means 25. |
