PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a read-out error of data at the time of the reproduction process binarizing an analog signal reproduced from a pickup by slicing it, in the case of an information reproducing device of a recording medium such as a DVD-RW and DVD-RAM. SOLUTION: This device is constituted by providing an equalizer 6 for adjusting the gain of an analog signal of the reflected light in accordance with the frequency, which is obtained by the irradiation of the light beam L on an optical disk 1 from a pickup 2, a binary circuit 7 for binarizing the gain- adjusted analog signal based on a reference voltage, a PLL 8 and a sampling circuit 9 for outputting binarization data based on the binarized signal. In this case, a clip circuit 12 is arranged on the preceding stage of the binary circuit 7 for performing a clip process to suppress the amplitude of the gain-adjusted analog signal to a specified value or smaller.
