PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely prevent the generation of foreign matter by special coating. SOLUTION: The swing type actuator used for a magnetic disk device has head supporting arms 1, on the front ends of which heads are mounted, an arm supporting part 2 which supports the base ends of these head supporting arms 1 and is mounted with a bearing cylinder 3 and a movable coil 4 which is connected to this arm supporting part 2 and swings the head supporting arms 1 by coupling to the magnetic circuit and is coated with a PMPX ((poly) monochloroparaxylene) film 8 by chemical vapor deposition over the entire surface.
