PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the connection defect and cutting which are liable to occur in soldering parts between terminals and cords. SOLUTION: Cords 7 are connected to the terminals 6 existing at the rear surface of a head body 1 of this magnetic head and a member like a shielding plate 3 which is fixed to a head body 1 is integrally provided with a cord holder 8 so as to face the terminals 6 on one surface side of the head body 1. Insertion gaps 9 to be inserted with the cords 7 are formed at the cord holder 8 in such a manner that the intermediate parts of the cords 7 are held by the cord holder 8 on the positions on the side slightly outer than the soldering parts between the terminals 6 and the cords 7.
