PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for torque sensor which can improve the torque detecting accuracy of a torque sensor by improving the temperature characteristic of the sensor by assembling a yoke ring with a yoke without press-fitting the ring in the yoke and a torque sensor. SOLUTION: A threaded section 12 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a yoke ring 11 and another threaded section 14 which can be meshed with the threaded section 12 of the ring 11 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical supporting section 10c of a yoke 10. Since the ring 11 is assembled with the yoke 10 by screwing the ring 11 in the yoke 10, loads are hardly applied to the screw-fit surfaces P2. When the ring 11 is screwed in the yoke 10, the press-contacting force of the front end face of the ring 11 applied to the press-contacted surface P1 of the yoke 10 when the front end face is press- contacted with the regulation surface 10d of the yoke 10 is managed by the tightening torque of the ring 11. In addition, the front end face 11a of the ring 11 is closely contacted with the regulation surface 10d of the yoke 10 leaving no space between them.
