PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowmeter which is able to stably measure a flow rate and properly reducible to a small diameter. SOLUTION: The flowmeter main body 3 is constituted by forming a couple of bottomed hole parts 12, which are open to radially outside the flowmeter main body 3, opposite each other while having their bottom parts 11 on the sides of a flow passage 2 and mounting the piezoelectric elements 9 of a couple of ultrasonic sensors 4 on the bottom parts 11. The flow passage 2 has no unevenness on its internal wall surface, so a flow of fluid is not disordered and excellent variance characteristics of instrumental errors and excellent lower- limit flow rate characteristics can be secured, so that the flow rate can stably be measured. Further, a sensor holder which was used for conventional technology is not used, so the flowmeter main body 3 can be reduced to a small diameter while maintaining the excellent characteristics.
