PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a secondary battery capable of reducing discharge reserving amount to an adequate level in a negative electrode. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for a secondary battery having a positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 4 containing a hydrogen storage alloy, and electrolyte, after filling the electrolyte and providing partial and initial charge before sealing, the equilibrium pressure of the hydrogen storage alloy is set higher than external pressure so that a part of hydrogen stored in the hydrogen storage alloy is emitted by the partial and initial charge. Thereby, a manufacturing method for a secondary battery capable of reducing discharge reserving amount to an adequate level is provided. |
