PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a filter having a proper color compensation function by constituting a filter layer containing fine particles and incorporating a dye as adsorbed on the surface of the fine particles into the filter layer. SOLUTION: The filter has a filter layer containing a dye and a polymer binder on a transparent supporting body, and the filter layer contains fine particles and a dye as adsorbed on the surface of the fine particles. For example, an antireflection film (an optical filter having an antireflection layer) has a layer structure in the order of a filter layer 2, a transparent supporting body 1 and a low refractive index layer 3. In this case, the layers satisfy the relation of (refractive index of the low refractive index layer 3) < (refractive index of the transparent supporting body 1). Or, the filter has a layer structure in the order of a filter layer 2, a transparent supporting body 1, a hard coating layer 4, a medium refractive index layer 6, a high refractive index layer 5, and a low refractive index layer 3. In this case, the layers satisfy the relation of refractive indices of the layers s satisfy the relation of (refractive index of the low refractive index layer 3) < (refractive index of the transparent supporting body 1) < (refractive index of the medium refractive index layer 6) < (refractive index of the high refractive index layer 5). |
