PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the intensity of microwaves emitted from plural power feed ports by varying the flow of high frequency current of openings of plural wave guides in a high frequency heating device. SOLUTION: This high frequency heating device has a heating chamber 10 for accommodating a heating material; a high frequency generating means 11; opening holes 15, 16 installed in a wave guide 12a and a wave guide 12b; grooves 17, 18 having one end in the opening holes 15, 16; variable impedance means 19, 20 for varying the flow of high frequency current of the openings 15, 16, installed in the grooves 17, 18; and driving means 21, 22 for driving the variable impedance means 19, 20, and by controlling the rotation of the variable impedance means 19, 20 to vary the flow of high frequency current of the opening holes 15, 16, the microwave transmitting amount in each wave guide can be controlled.
