PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a data transfer rate by performing efficient buffering processing. SOLUTION: This is an optical disk device provided with a plural optical pickups for detecting information signals from an optical disk, decoders 5 for decoding and reproducing the information, a data temporary storage area 14 for temporarily storing information a CPU. This device includes a data address data size detecting means 12 for detecting the leading address and the data size of the reproduced information, and a data transfer means 13 for transferring the reproduced information to a pre-secured normal storage area 15, and has an address calculating means 18 for calculating the address on an optical disk where the reproduced information has been recorded based on the data address data size, and stores the reproduced information in the data temporary storage area 14 and also transfers the information to the normal storage area 15 by the means 13.
