PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a disk device thin in thickness and small in size by detecting the movement of a disk from a feeding position to a rotating position along a disk surface, and controlling its driving, thereby unnecessitating a drawing moving mechanism and a vertical movement mechanism. SOLUTION: When an ejecting arm 341 is moved and returned from a last position to an original position, the outer peripheral edge of a disk is pushed by an ejecting pin 345' and then the disk is ejected. A pulling-in arm 351 is moved and in the process of movement from its standby position to the last position, the disk outer peripheral edge is pushed by a pulling-in spring, and the arm 351 is driven to pull in the disk. During a period from the loading start of the disk to its completion, a pressing arm 391 is swung, a pressure spring 386 is distorted by an amount equal to the stroke of the swinging of a pressing arm operation point 394, and the disk is pushed toward a pickup module. Also, in the process from the disk loading start to its completion, a shutter arm 461 is swung to cause a shutter cam 465 to drive a shutter, and a disk insertion port is closed. These swinging arms are made of thin steel plats, thereby making the entire device thin in thickness.
