PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacity of a cache memory without increasing the number of PK and the number of wirings on a back plane and to improve data transfer throughput by installing cache memory parts on a package(PK) similar to a selector part and PK different from the selector part. SOLUTION: New cache memory parts 14 (a CM controller 107 and a memory module 109) are installed on a selector PK. The capacity of a cache memory can be increased without increasing a memory PK. The number of cache memory parts 14 increases two times and the number of access paths between a path controller 110 and the CM controller 107 accordingly increases two times. Thus, data transfer throughput improves about two times. Even if the number of access paths increases two times, the increased access paths are required by the number of wirings on the selector PK and therefore it is not necessary to increase the number of wirings on a back plane.
