PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent tilting of a refrigerator housing or lowering of a door by providing a reinforcing member where the regions being applied with a load, e.g. the hinge of a door, and the like, are integrated continuously along the front side at the front flange part of the refrigerator housing. SOLUTION: Side plates 1, an inner box 3, baffle plates 4, and reinforcing members are tightened by means of screws 7. The reinforcing member is a U-shaped flat plate and provided between the front flange part of the opposite side plates 1 and a top plate 2 and the front flange part of the inner box 3, or on the inside of the front flange part of the inner box 3 while being laid thereon and three front flange parts are tightened by means of the screws 7. The reinforcing member can limit a moment being applied to the door hinge of a refrigerator using minimum reinforcement. According to the structure, the refrigerator housing can be reduced in weight while preventing it from tilting or preventing the door from lowering.
