PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a card preventing a false ejection, allowing an easy operation, and restraining a damage on a card and a wear of individual contacts of the connector. SOLUTION: When an IC card 21 is inserted into a connector in a direction indicated by an arrow, a front edge surface 21B of the IC card pushes a protrusion 4C of a slider 4, and the IC card and the slider move integrally to position indicated in the figure. In this process, a front edge surface 4B of the slider pushes a bent part 11B of an eject plate 11, the eject plate 11 moves to a position indicated in the figure resisting an energizing force of a spring 12, and a bent part 11A of the eject plate in restrained from restoring by a restraining part 8B of a lock plate 8. A lock part 8B of the lock plate 8 and a rear edge surface 21A of the IC card are locked. A bottom surface of the slider connects a switch part 13, and individual contacts of the IC card come in contact with individual contacts 3 installed in a base insulator 1.
