PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality and performance by allocating a wavelength having a small wavelength interval to a line whose transmission distance is short and a wavelength which has a large interval to a line whose transmission distance is long. SOLUTION: A wavelength allocating process part 1b allocates wavelengths close to the zero-dispersion wavelength of, for example, an optical fiber transmission line to lines 116 and 117 whose transmission distances are short and wavelengths having large wavelength intervals to lines 118 and 119 whose transmission distances are long. Consequently, the influence of crosstalk due to 3- light-wave mixing becomes small since the lines 116 and 117 have the short transmission distances. Further, the lines 118 and 119 perform transmission through the same path over long distances, but the wavelength intervals are large, so the influence of the crosstalk due to 4-light-wave mixing becomes small. Thus, the wavelengths are allocated to suppress deterioration in transmission quality due to 4-light-wave mixing small. |
