PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a rotor for a precise ultrasonic motor with few man- hours, and reduce manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This method is for manufacturing a rotor for an ultrasonic motor provided with a retaining part 12b which is formed in ring and linked with a rotating shaft, a thin-walled linkage part 12c which stretches from the retaining part 12b to the outside in the radial direction and formed thinner than the retaining part 12b, and a vibration receiving part 12d which stretches from the linkage part 12c to the outside in the radial direction and formed thicker than the linkage part 12c, and receives vibration of a stator. In a compression process, the linkage part 12 is formed thin by compression-molding a ring like blank material in metal molds 22, 27 in which a gap Y is formed, and the vibration receiving part 12d is formed by moving the material, when the linkage part is formed. |
