PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for production of a printed circuit board which enables the step exposure of a raw glass photomask at a good yield while executing step exposure taking identification marking into consideration and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: The stepping projection aligner of the printed circuit board which subjects the raw glass mask 3 having a wiring pattern region 3a and identification mark regions 3c1 to 3c3 around the wiring pattern region 3a to plural times of exposure while successively moving its exposure position to the printed circuit board in an exposure stage to the printed circuit board is provided with the raw glass mask 3 on the side of the surface to be exposed of the printed circuit board and is provided with an opaque shielding member 4 on the surface side of the raw glass mask 3 opposite to the printed circuit board so that the shielding member 4 selectively shields the identification mark regions 3c1 to 3c3 of the raw glass mask 3.
