PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a related program in a short time by displaying the all or one part of program information of the related program, when an instruction is issued with respected to a related keyword. SOLUTION: A program decode means 5 transforms program information in a horizontal blanking interval (VBI) or program information in MPEG2SI sent from a program information separating means 4 to the data of a text format and preserves them on a storage medium 6. A signal processing means 8 performs NTSC decoding in the case of analog broadcasting or extends MPEG2 data and in the case of digital broadcasting and outputs the result to a picture combining means 9. A link information preparing means 7 retrieves a predetermined keyword out of the text of program information of the preserved program. A program selecting means 10 reads the program information of the selected program from the storage medium 6 by a remote controller 14 and outputs it to a program information display means 11. The picture combining means 9 combines the video outputted from the signal processing means 8 and the image outputted from the program information display means 11 and displays 13 the result on a monitor.
