<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably set a guaranteed frame rate PVC again by adopting a bypass method taking a quality of service QoS into account so as to prevent resource overflow of a physical channel assigned after standby with respect to the guaranteed frame rate PVC and to set a guaranteed frame rate PVC with higher QoS again with priority over resetting of a non guaranteed frame rate PVC having lower QoS. SOLUTION: An active system route usually in use is set between terminals A and B via channels 21, 23 of an ATM exchange 100 (2) and channels 31, 33 of an ATM exchange 100 (3). A standby system route selected on the occurrence of a failure in a PVC set to the active system route is set through channels 21, 22 of the ATM exchange 100 (2), channels 11, 12 of the ATM exchange 100 (1) and channels 32, 33 of the ATM exchange 100 (3).</p> |
