PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film picture processing device, which can arbitrary invert the picture data on a film set on a film mask through picture processing, without replacing the film by automatically discriminating the front and rear sides of the film. SOLUTION: In a film picture processing device which is provided with a picture sensor 14, which reads pictures from a film set in a scanner section A and outputs film picture data, a discriminating means 20, which discriminates the front and rear sides of the film set in the scanner section A, and a picture processing means 31, which can output the film picture data read by means of the sensor 14 by inverting the data are provided. When the discriminating means 20 discriminates that the front and back of the film is reverse, the processing means 31 outputs the data to be proper picture data by processing the film picture data read by means of the sensor 14.
