PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ASK modulator that can be made small in size at a low cost with small power consumption. SOLUTION: The ASK modulator is provided with a carrier signal input terminal 22 that receives a carrier signal, a data signal input terminal 23 that receives a data signal, a modulation signal output terminal 24 that outputs a modulation signal, and an ASK modulation section 21 that changes the amplitude of the modulation signal in interlocking with the amplitude of the data signal. Thus, an amplification factor variable amplifier to vary the amplitude of the modulation signal is not required, the ASK modulator is made small, the cost is reduced and the power consumption is decreased.
