PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method on the basis of transfer data that enhances a degree of freedom of printer layout deficient of a data storage capacity at a low cost. SOLUTION: The method has a 1st step where a series of data are repetitively transmitted by isochronous transfer of an IEEE 1394 serial bus, a 2nd step where the series of the data sent in the 1st step are received, a 3rd step where a part of the data among the series of the data sent in the 1st timing and received are stored in the case of the data storage capacity is deficient and the data not stored among the series of the data sent in the 2nd timing after the 1st timing and received are stored (ST122-ST131) and a 4th step (ST133-ST135) where an image is formed on the basis of the series of the data stored in the 3rd step.
