PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element superior in luminous efficiency by forming by sandwiching at least a layer including at lest one kind of 12 H-[1]benzopyrano[2,3-b]acridine-7,14-dione derivative between a pair of electrodes. SOLUTION: At least, one layer out of a light emitting layer, an electron implantation transport layer, and a positive hole implantation transport layer including compound expressed by a formula is sandwiched between a pair of electrodes. In the formula, X expresses a hydrogen atom, a straight chain allowed to have substituent, etc., R1-R8 independently express hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, direct chain allowed to have the substituent, etc., respectively, and groups selected out of R1 and R2, R2 and R3, R3 and R4, R5 and R6, R6 and R7, R7 and R8 are connected one another and may form a substitution or un-substitution carbocyclic ring aliphatic ring, carbocyclic ring aromatic ring, or heterocycle aromatic ring, along with the substituted carbon atom. The layer may include light emitting organic metal complex.
