PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator improved in the heat exchange efficiency of a machine room by the configuration of an air duct structure and a component of the room. SOLUTION: The machine room is divided into an air suction duct 57 side and an air exhaust duct 58 side by a partition plate 55. A finned condenser 36 and an evaporating tray 39 are disposed at the duct 57 side. A compressor 34 is disposed at the duct 58 side. An atmosphere input from one side of a front surface of the room 22 is fed to the duct 58 by a forced ventilation blower 41 through the duct 57. Thus, the room air duct for discharging exhaust heat of the front surface of the room 33 to the other side is formed so that the exhaust heat is not obstructed irrespective of the installing conditions of the refrigerator.
