PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location system capable of specifying the position of a PHS terminal from a center station, reducing communication cost between the PHS terminal and the center station and specifying the position of the PHS terminal over a long time. SOLUTION: In this location system, a PHS terminal 1 receives position measuring radio wave signals transmitted from plural GPS satellites 5, calculates the position information of its own terminal 1 from these received position measuring radio waves at fixed time and stores the calculated position information in a buffer. The terminal 1 transmits the position information stored in the buffer to a center station 4 through a PHS base station 2 and a public line network 3 at a prescribed reporting time interval. |
