PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the failure of insulation due to the immersion of moisture or the like between opposite inner electrode layers even when the film of an outer electrode is made thin. SOLUTION: This electronic component is provided with an electronic component main body 3 in which plural dielectric layers 2 and plural inner electrodes 1 are mutually laminated, and the edge parts of the inner electrode layers 1 are mutually exposed on the both edge faces, and outer electrodes 4 provided at the both edge parts of the electronic part main body 3 to be connected with the edge parts of the inner electrode layers 1. In this case, a circular groove 6 surrounding the exposed edge parts of the inner electrode layers 1 is formed on the both edge faces of the electronic component main body 3, conductive materials are packed in the circular groove 6 so that a cylindrical conductor 7 can be formed, and the outer electrode 4 is connected with the cylindrical conductor 7.
