PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve luminous efficiency by providing a layer, at least, including a charge transport material and a metal, and a layer, at least, including an organic substance and a metal included in a light emitting layer between electrodes and the light emitting layer. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescence element is provided with a pair of electrodes and a light emitting layer including a prescribed organic substance, the light emitting layer is sandwiched between layers, at least, including porphyrin compound, and a charge transport material includes aromatic amine compound and a metal complex of the porphyrin compound or 8- quinolinols. A hole transport material includes aromatic amine compound or porphyrin compound, and an electron transport material includes a metal complex of the 8-quinolinols. This organic electroluminescence device is manufactured by vapor depositing a hole transport layer 7, a porphyrin compound layer 12a, the light emitting layer 5, a porphyrin compound layer 12b, an electron transport layer 8, and a negative electrode 6 in this order.
