PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation device and method evaluating a rotation sensor quantitatively, and eliminating a possibility of damaging the rotation sensor. SOLUTION: Between a set of bias magnetic flux generating coils 12 generating a bias magnetic flux, another set of magnetic flux variation coils 13 are provided to vary the flux. A magnetic sensing part of a rotation sensor 31 to be evaluated is arranged between the magnetic flux variation coils 13. The bias magnetic flux generating coils 12 are arranged wound on both ends of a gap of an iron core yoke 11. The magnetic flux variation coils 13 are constituted as a Helmholtz structure having the same length both for an inside diameter and a distance between coils.
