摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation amount of particle to improve self discharge characteristic by controlling the condition of particle to the predetermined range for producing a mold in the process to manufacture a solid active carbon structure. SOLUTION: A solid active carbon structure material includes an active carbon in the total amount of carbon of 95% or more. When the ultrasonic wave vibration in output of 20 W/L and oscillation frequency of 40 kHz in the water is applied for an hour, amount of weight is reduced by 1% or less. Moreover, in this solid active carbon structure material manufacturing method, a slurry is manufactured by mixing active carbon, organic binder and solvent and then particle under the condition that average particle size is 400μm or less, loosened volume density is 0.35 g/cm3 or more and tap density is 0.5 to 1.1 g/cm3 is manufactured from this slurry. After this particle is molded to the predetermined shape, it is then subjected to the heat treatment under the non-acidic atmosphere to carbonize the organic binder. Thereby, a binding force of the carbon component such as active carbon is intensified to improve the reliability.
