PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily grasp the position of information to be read while a device is held like a pencil and also to accurately read the information without being affected by light undergoing mirror reflection at an object in a pen type two-dimensional information reader. SOLUTION: This reader is provided with a lens 14 for image reading and an image sensor 12 in a pen type case 10. The sensor 12 is arranged so that its light receiving surface can be crossed orthogonally with the central axis A of the case 10, and the lens 14 is arranged so that an optical central axis B can be inclined with regard to the axis A of the case and the light receiving surface of the sensor 12 at a prescribed degree. Then, the lens 14 turns out to form the image of an object being upper than the light receiving surface, and a user can grasp the position of a two-dimensional code without being interrupted with a hand when the user holds the device like a pencil so as to touch a control switch 20 on the upper part of the case with the forefinger and makes an opening part 2 face the object in the case of reading the object. Also, mirror reflection light from the object can be prevented from being made incident on the sensor 12 owing to the inclination of the lens 14. |
