PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate a program for backing-up a data set in a high order layer. SOLUTION: When the certain member of a first data set 107 is updated at the time of executing a transaction, a value before updating is saved to a roll-back area 105. When the certain member of the data set 107 is updated at the time of executing the transaction, and the data set is the object of back-up, the identifier of a block including the member is written in a back-up management table 103. The contents of the roll-back area are restored to the data set at the time of abnormal transaction end. The block corresponding to the identifier of the back-up management table 103 is saved to a back-up file 109 at the time of normal transaction end. |
