SOLUTION: This KARAOKE device has a music selection device 101 for selecting a music selection number of a desired musical piece; a musical piece information memory means 102 for storing musical piece information; an image reproducing means 105 for reproducing image data concerning the musical piece; a character information control means 106 for controlling character information such as words or a message to a user; an image composition means 108 for combining the character information and the image data; an additional character information memory means 103; and an additional character information input means 104. In absence of a request during a prescribed time, additional character information, such as recent popular music, numbers by genres or singers, or the like, stored in the additional character information memory means 103 is displayed. |
