摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the electrical characteristic by setting the intensively coupled proton at a particular % or more of the total amount of proton among the three coupling types measured by a pulse nuclear magnetic resonance method as the carbon material of polarized electrode. SOLUTION: In the electric double-layer capacitor manufacturing method, proton of the three coupling types in the structural raw material is measured with the pulse nuclear magnetic resonance method (P-NMR) and a ratio of the proton amount resulting from adsorbed water and intensively coupled proton is set to the value lower than the predetermined value. The carbon material suitable for non-aqueous system electrical double-layer capacitor indicates that the remaining proton of at least 50% or more of the result of measurement after dehydration through the heat treatment under 300 deg.C or less under the vacuum condition has a short alleviation time corresponding to C-H coupling on the P-NMR spectrum. Moreover, the intensively coupled proton by P-NMR indicates the alleviation time of 20 to 30μsec. Thereby, the measurement for evaluating a degree of the vacuum drying process can be realized.
