PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reflection type display device from which a sufficiently bright display can be obtd. even when the external light mainly enters from the front side in an inclined angle. SOLUTION: A reflection plate 30 is disposed on the back face of a display device 10 which controls transmission of light to display, and a scattering plate 31 having the following selective scattering characteristics is disposed on the front face of the display device 10. The scattering plate 31 transmits the incident light at an incident angle in a specified range to the observation direction A for the display with almost no scattering for any incident light on both faces, and scatters the light entering at the larger incident angle than the aforementioned range. |
