PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an exposure control, and to reduce a red eye phenomenon and the occurrence of the shadow of a subject without making the device large in size in a flash control system composed of a camera main body and a remotely controllable external flash. SOLUTION: The aperture scale corresponding to the flashing quantity of the external flash 100 for obtaining a part of the proper exposure value is calculated. By flashing the built-in flash 16 only twice, information corresponding to the aperture scale and a flashing timing are transmitted to the external flash. The external flash 100 is flashed at the light quantity corresponding to the aperture scale. In order to expose, the built-in flash 16 is flashed at the light quantity to obtain all the remaining quantity of the proper exposure value. By flashing both of the external flash 100 and the built-in flash 16, the proper exposure value is obtained. |
