PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system which can input information to a portable recording medium fitted to radio communication equipment. SOLUTION: A radio communication system has a portable telephone set 50, which is radio communication equipment provided with both contact and non-contact type interfaces, a contact type IC card 20 which is a portable recording medium that is fitted to the telephone set 50, conducts communication with the telephone set 50 via the contacting type interface, and performs information processing based on the information received via the communication, and radio communication equipment 60 which makes radio communication with the telephone set 50 via the non-contacting type interface and inputs the information to the IC card 20 fitted to the telephone set 50 via the telephone set 50.
