METHOD FOR MARKING DIGITAL DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permanently erase data while in action without carrying out a further investigation to a stream by adding two offset values to a cell form flag so as to correctly address a stream object unit(SOBU) which can be completely erased. SOLUTION: A program #j of an original program has a cell #k consisting of SOBUs #1 to #6. After a TE(temporary erasure), the program #j is marked on the basis of a predetermined parameter whereby a TE part is erased by a user or erased temporarily, and has three cells #k to #k+2. The cells #k and #k+2 can be reproduced. An erasure flag is set to the cell #k+1. A TE cell of the cell #k+1 includes two offset values of TE S OFF and TE E OFF. A correct position of the SOBU can be searched for by the TE S OFF and TE E OFF without a further investigation to a stream.
