PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lights of a plurality of colors from a single light source. SOLUTION: This light source bulb comprises: an outer bulb 50 and an inner bulb 51; a filament 53 enclosed inside the inner bulb 51; translucent conductive films 56, 57 disposed at the outer surfaces of the outer and inner bulbs 50, 51, respectively; liquid crystal 58 enclosed between the inner and outer conductive films 56, 57; and a liquid crystal operation circuit 59 connected to the inner and outer conductive films 56, 57. As a result, when the liquid crystal operation circuit 59 is turned on or off, the molecular arrangement of the liquid crystal 58 is varied. Therefore, when light emitted from the filament 53 transmits the inner bulb 51, the liquid crystal 58 and the outer bulb 50, the light is varied in two colors. Consequently, the single light source bulb 5 can produce clear light and monochromatic light, or lights of two colors. The liquid crystal is doubled or more by interposing an intermediate bulb between the outer bulb 50 and the inner bulb 51, thereby further obtaining lights of multiple colors.
