PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device capable of obtaining an image faithful to an original by switching the AC component of a developing condition in accordance with the sealed original. SOLUTION: The high-quality image is obtained by varying the AC component of developing bias in developing according to the kind of the original. The AC condition of the developing bias is changed by varying the peak to peak of the AC component. When the original is a character original and a character mode is selected on a contact panel, the AC component of the developing bias is switched at the formation of an image, and the peak to peak of the AC component is set to 1.8 kV and that of a DC component is set to 400 V. When the original is a photograph original and a photographic mode is selected, it is set to select 1.6 kV as the peak to peak of the AC current at the formation of the image and 400 V as that of the DC component. |
