The invention relates to a bow ladder 1 extending into a gangway for a boat, said ladder comprising two elongate body parts 10, 11 arranged at a distance from each other. Between the body parts 10, 11, crosswise extending steps 30, 33, 30' are fastened relative to the body parts 10, 11 at a distance from each other. The body part 10, 11 has a ladder portion 2 and a supporting portion 3, by means of which the ladder portion 2 in its bow ladder position may be supported against the stem of the boat, said ladder portion 2 and supporting portion 3 being coupled together by means of joints 19 by means of which the ladder portion 2 and the supporting portion 3 may be swung approximately 180 degrees relative to each other, such that they rest onto each other in line relative to each other, as continuations of each other.
