PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide a proper exposure amount in a normal light emission based on the result of a pre-light emission. SOLUTION: The camera 10 which executes an image pick-up based on a result of pre-light emission with a stroboscope 20 has a control means 16 which makes the stroboscope 20 to execute successively a plurality of pre-light emissions until the light amount of a reflective light from a subject becomes equal to or above the pre-determined value, and an exposure light amount deciding means 16 which decides the exposure light amount at the time of a normal light emission when the light amount of the reflective light from the object becomes equal to or above the pre-determined value. With this constitution, a plurality of pre-light emissions is executed until the light amount of the reflective light from the subject becomes equal to or above the pre-determined value (more concretely, until a light amount for the normal light emission becomes capable of evaluation), the exposure light amount for the period of the normal light emission can be evaluated precisely and the exposure light amount at the time of the normal light emission can be set properly. |
