PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an incoming call and provide a good communication service by answering an incoming call from a base station by using a public interface when a PHS radio repeater detects the failure of talking through private interface. SOLUTION: When the PHS radio repeater 2 detects failure in the establishment of a talking channel with a PHS terminal 1 (S6), the repeater 2 generates a calling tone to a public base station 3 in order to establish talking with a PHS public base station 3 (S7). A user is transited to a talking state with a called party by hooking off a handset of the repeater 2 (S10). Even when the establishment of a call between the terminal 1 and the repeater 2 is failed upon receiving an incoming call from the base station 3, talking can be executed by establishing a call between the base station 3 and the repeater 2, so that an incoming call ratio can be improved and high communication service can be executed. |
