ROUTE DESIGNATING GUIDE FOR OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an optical fiber cable from a keen bend in the place of a cable connector or in the vicinity of it by providing a slender curved groove which bends receiving the optical fiber cable and providing the near end having such a shape that the curved groove is butted against and brought. into contact with the optical fiber cable connector. SOLUTION: A cable route designating guide 10 is provided with the configuration of the slender and curved supporting member having an internal curved wall 14, an external curved wall 12 and a base plate 16 which form a slender curved groove 17 having a nearly U shaped form in order to guide the direction of an optical fiber cable along the length of the curved groove 17. The near end 18 of the curved groove 17 is formed so as to have projected studs 30, 32 in respective upper edges 22, 26 of the external curved wall 12 and the internal curved wall 14. The projected studs 30, 32 and a projected stud 34 of the base plate are constituted into the shape by which the rotation of the cable route designating guide 10 to an optical fiber cable connector is prevented when the near end 18 of the curved groove 17 is butted against and brought into contact with the cable connector.
