PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain proper comparison even when a high ground voltage or a high level other common mode noise is in existence by reducing the effect of the common mode noise such as the ground voltage between a signal supply source and a comparator without using a floating power supply. SOLUTION: A comparator CP is operated by a power supply with voltages +Vcc, -Vcc, compares a voltage at an input terminal T1 with a voltage at an input terminal T2 to produce an output in response to the magnitude correlation of them at an output terminal Tout. A voltage division resistor R1 is inserted between an input terminal L1 and the input terminal T1 and a voltage division resistor R2 is inserted between a ground potential point GND and a connection point between the voltage division resistor R1 and the input terminal T1. A voltage division resistor R1' is inserted between an input terminal L2 and the input terminal T2, and a voltage division resistor R2' is inserted between the ground potential point GND and a connecting point between the voltage division resistor R1' and the input terminal T2. A impedance matching resistor Z is inserted between the input terminals L1, L2.
