PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving/recording apparatus which can correctly detect an interval of musical pieces without setting a special circuit and can update a track number at the interval of musical pieces. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiving/recording apparatus has a receiving circuit 2 for receiving broadcasts having program-related data added to sound signals, an MD player 3 for recording sound signals obtained from the receiving circuit 2 together with track numbers to MDs, and a microprocessor 4 for controlling the operation of the MD player 3. The microprocessor 4 judges whether or not contents of the program-related data obtained from the receiving circuit 2 change, and updates a track number to be recorded to the MD when judging that the contents of the program-related data change.
