The load handling trolley carrier for a lorry has a base (1) which can be placed on the ground and which as an upright (2a,b) supporting an upper frame (3a,b). The load handling trolley is raised on the carrier for positioning on a load platform (P) of the lorry. The base can have a frame formed by longerons and cross bars.
