<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-in terminal providing an enough and constant contact pressure with a small press-in amount, and an electrical connector having the terminal. SOLUTION: This press-in terminal has a pin-like metal terminal body 2, a spring contactor 3 supported by a support part 5 of a terminal body. The spring contactor 3 forms an approximately cylindrical body with an opening groove, elastically expands/shrinks in a radial direction, and has an outer contact part 6 which is a part of an outer peripheral surface extended most outwardly in the radial direction and an inner contact part 7 which is a part of an inner peripheral surface extended most inwardly in the radial direction. The outer contact part 6 is positioned outer than a circle of a conductive part P1 on the inner peripheral surface of a through-hole while the spring contactor 3 is in a free state. When the spring contactor 3 is elastically shrunk in the radial direction by a press-in into the conductive part P1, the outer contact part 6 and the inner contact part 5 elastically come in contact with the conductive part P1 and the support part 5 respectively.</p> |
