PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine which can automatically transmit the data read by means of an image scanner via two systems of communication routes of a communication route which is formed via the Internet and a public communication exchange network, which is formed not via the Internet. SOLUTION: When the facsimile machine detects that an emergency mode is set by pressing an emergency mode button in a step 40, the machine executes a two-system transmitting process. In the two-system transmission process, the machine adds the data read by means of an image scanner to electronic mail, transmits the electronic mail to a personal computer at a transmitting destination via the Internet, and when the transmission ends, transmits the read data to the facsimile machine at the transmitting destination via a public communication exchange network which is formed not via the Internet. Since the probability of the other party at the transmitting destination seeing received data can be mode high, effective result can be obtained, when there is a matter that must be urgently informed to the other party. |
